Cover design The Evolutionary Trace analysis method has been applied to the study of heteromeric ligand-receptor complexes of the TGF-beta family. The figure shows a TGF-beta2 dimer where blue residues are conserved and solvent inaccessible, green residues are conserved and accessible, red residues are class-specific and solvent inaccessible, and yellow residues are class-specific and exposed.
