Cover Figure

Cover design  Drosophila GCM is a regulatory protein that determines the fate of neuroblasts. GCM DNA-binding domain has a novel Zn-finger motif: -C-X3-C-X26-C-X2^4-C-. Photographs in the cover panel show central nervous system, in late embryos, stained with anti-repo antibody. Repo is expressed in all glial cells of the central nervous system, with the exception of mesectodermal midline glia. Left, normal embryos; right, gcm mutant embryos. For further details see Shimizu et al., pages 247-254.
