About the Cover

Cover Figure

Cover: Top image, which shows difference electron density for a phospho-TSA inhibitor binding to a lipase and corresponding to the fast-reacting substrate, indicates a well defined binding mode. Lower image shows difference electron density for the slow-reacting phospho-TSA inhibitor where only partial assignment of the ligand skeleton is possible. This difference in "spatial accommodation" for the binding pocket in the transition state may be responsible for the observed enantioselectivity. For further details see Bocola et al., pages 319-322.
